Endorsements

"I am supporting Cara Schroeder and I am asking all those who supported me and voted for me to do the same. Cara is the most qualified candidate now running for Tucker City Council for three important reasons: Cara has lived here in District 2 for 24 years; Cara has more than a decade of experience giving back to the community; Cara has valuable experience in City of Tucker government.

Cara and I share many of the same desires for the City of Tucker. She wants to make our major thoroughfares and neighborhood streets safer and wants additional sidewalks and sidewalk gap completion along our major connector roads including Brockett, Cooledge, Fellowship and Idlewood. And, she wants to continue implementing the city master plans for downtown development, parks, trails and transportation.

“As the DeKalb County Commissioner who represents the largest portion of the City of Tucker, I am honored to endorse Cara Schroeder to be the next Tucker City Council member for District 2. Cara has established a solid, working relationship with DeKalb County, and I am grateful for her work in our parks and our community. She served on Tucker's first Community Council, was a former board member of the Tucker Civic Association, a past Vice President of the Friends of Tucker Parks and is a current member of the Tucker Planning Commission. Cara has been a strong advocate for Tucker for nearly two decades and her experience and leadership will serve all residents of Tucker well. I encourage everyone in Tucker, District 2 to vote for Cara Schroeder for Tucker City Council on November 30th.”

"As Tucker City Councilmember-elect from District 1, Post 1, it is my honor to endorse Cara Schroeder’s campaign to be the next City Council representative for District 2. Cara has spent nearly 20 years working for the Tucker community and has proven that she “cares” for Tucker.

Cara has served as a board member of the Tucker Civic Association where she spearheaded the “Rivers Alive” waterway clean up campaign. She has served as Vice President of the Friends of Tucker Parks and was a founding member of the Henderson Park Community Gardens. After serving two years on Tucker’s first Community Council, Cara was then appointed to the Tucker Planning Commission.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Cara Schroeder for Tucker City Council for District 2. Remember to vote for Cara in the November 30th City Council runoff race or plan to vote early from now until November 24th at the Tucker-Reid Cofer Library."

“As the DeKalb County District 4 Commissioner it has been my honor and privilege to represent all of Tucker’s District 2 residents for the past 4½ years. Over that time I have enjoyed a very positive and productive working relationship with Tucker City Council members Matt Robbins and Noelle Monferdini as well as other city leaders. Moving forward it is important that a positive working relationship continues for the benefit of all District 2 residents. Therefore, it is indeed an honor for me to endorse Cara Schroeder’s candidacy to be the next District 2 representative on the Tucker City Council.

Cara is a person of intelligence and integrity who will bring a strong work ethic and a commitment to inclusion to her duties as a Tucker City Councilwoman. I ask that you support her candidacy with your time, talent, money and votes. Upon her election, I look forward to working with her on issues of mutual interest and concern for many years to come. Thanks for your consideration.”
